Main Khush hu

Zindgi hai choti par me khush hu, is time me khush hu,
in halat me khush hu,
aaj gadi me jane ka wakt nai hai, 2 kadam chal k hi khush hu,
aaj kisi ka sath nai hai, kitab pad k hi khush hu,
aaj koi naraj hai, uske is andaz me bhi khush hu,
jisko pa nai sakti uski yad me hi khush hu,
bita hua kal ja chuka hai, uski mithi yadein hai unme hi khush hu,
haste haste ye pal bitenge, ye soch k hi khush hu,
zindagi h choti hr pal me khush hu

HEY SLOW DOWN . . YOU MOVE TOO FAST . .

Washington DC Metro Station, on a cold January Morning 2007,
The man with violin played six Bach pieces for about 45 minutes. During that time approximately 2000 people went through the station, most of them on their way to work.
After 3 minutes a middle aged man noticed there was a musician playing music. He slowed down his pace, stopped for a few seconds and hurried to meet his schedule.
4 minutes later:
The violin received his first dollar. A woman threw the money in his hat and without stopping, continued to walk.
6 minutes later:
A young man leaned against the wall to listen to his music, then looked at his watch and started to walk again.
 10 minutes:
A three year old boy stopped but his mother tugged him along hurriedly. The kid stopped to look at the musician again but the mother pushed him hard and the child continued to walk again, turning his head again and again. This action was repeated by several other children. Every parent without any exception forced their children to move on quickly.
45 minutes:
The musician played continuously. Only 6 people stopped and listened for a short while. About 20 gave money but continued to walk at the normal pace. The man collected a total of 32$.
1 hour later:
He finished playing and silence took over. No one noticed, no one applauded and nor there was any recognition.
No one knew this but the violinist was Joshua Bell, one of the greatest musicians in the world. He played one of the most intricate plays ever written with a violin worth $3.5 million.
Two days before Joshua sold out a theatre in Boston where the seats averaged $100.
Joshua Bell playing incognito in the metro station was organized by Washington post as a part of social experiment about perception, taste and people’s priorities.
The question raised: In a common environment at an inappropriate hours do we perceive beauty ??
Do we stop to appreciate it??
Do we realize talent in an unexpected context??
One possible conclusion reached from this experiment could be this :
If we do not have moment to stop and listen to one of the best musicians of the world, playing some of the finest music ever written, with one of the beautiful instruments ever made. . . .
HOW MANY OTHER THINGS ARE WE MISSING ???????

HEY SLOW DOWN . .
Look for beauty, its around you, everywhere. .
YOU MOVE TOO FAST .  .

An Evening that just went by. .

I m sitting near a beach.. On black rocks.. I can see sun setting down in front of me but on the horizon..
far away behind the enormous sea water.. There is just water and sand, as far as my sight can go..splashing waves.. hitting those black rocks.. Again n again.. Sea is on its worst ..i can see light beaming at the light house.. White pure beam of light.. cold gush of air hitting me as it is trying to tell me something..  I m just sitting watching the sun go down.. setting another day in my life...

This place bring some good feelings to me.. The gentle breeze touches me to give away my pain to her as it will take them with her.. The waves force me to wash away my worries... The sun telling me to get over with things from the past.. The black rocks never give up facing the sea..they lie there in the middle of the sea till the end of their lives..

There is a man sitting here alone ...somewhat far on the same edgy slope... silent.... Not talking..it seems he just want to ease off pains of his lives... Just looking towards the sea with expectations that it will help him heal himself.. Make him believe that he will be happy tomorrow.. There will be friends with him tomorrow.. Life will be more lively .. Even.. Not rough.. He will b able to fly ..like the bird he is watching .. flying around horizon deep in the sea.. Sea of freedom.. Breaking shackles of his rigidness.. His fears.. His worries for the  future.. His regrets from the past.. And do whatever he ever wanted to do in life.. With risking it all..  And not even worrying of what may happen..

For I have seen how sad can time make u sometimes.. That your heart aches every night when u go to sleep.. It cries for help.. Not to hit it with a knife everyday.. N feel like listening to loud songs to cut itself from environment around himself.. To find some solace from the everyday sadness.. N for once b happy.. May b for the first n last time after this sad phase.. Smile from within.. Without grudges.. N just keep smiling.. :-).

Everything We Do Make A Difference

There was a man taking a morning walk at or the beach. He saw that along with the morning tide came hundreds of starfish and when the tide receded, they were left behind and with the morning sun rays, they would die. The tide was fresh and the starfish were alive.

The man took a few steps, picked one and threw it into the water. He did that repeatedly. Right behind him there was another person who couldn't understand what this man was doing.

He caught up with him and asked, "What are you doing? There are hundreds of starfish. How many can you help? What difference does it make?" This man did not reply, took two more steps, picked up another one, threw it into the water, and said, "It makes a difference to this one."

What difference are we making? Big or small, it does not matter. If everyone made a small difference, we'd end up with a big difference, wouldn't we?

A Quote

I Just love this one :

"Certain Paths are smooth , Gentle and Straight of way.

Others, Rough and Twisting and Full of thorns, are Unavoidable Courses of Tribulations for Ethereal Beings.

Whatever Road you Choose to Take

"Do not Simply Walk on it But DANCE !! For each Pathway is Traveled but Once".

8 Things To Learn From Japan

When you get something good Its good to share it with others. .

Impressive Learnings from Japan. .
 1. THE CALM
Not a single visual of chest-beating or wild grief. Sorrow itself has been elevated.

2. THE DIGNITY
Disciplined queues for water and groceries. Not a rough word or a crude gesture.

3. THE ABILITY
The incredible architects, for instance. Buildings swayed but didnt fall.

4. THE GRACE
People bought only what they needed for the present, so everybody could get something.

5. THE ORDER
No looting in shops. No honking and no overtaking on the roads. Just understanding.

6. THE SACRIFICE
Fifty workers stayed back to pump sea water in the N-reactors. How will they ever be repaid

7. THE MEDIA
They showed magnificent restraint in the bulletins. No silly reporters. Only calm reportage.

8. THE CONSCIENCE
When the power went off in a store, people put things back on the shelves and left quietly!
GOD BLESS JAPAN AND ITS PEOPLE.

We Are the Champions - WE WON. . INDIA...

Wow, What a tour, What a tournament, .
Its summer of '99  I watched cricket for the first time(world cup), and It took 12 years to see what I have always wanted to see , The ultimate Wish I had in Cricket. Its Becoming the World Champion, Raising the Cup. And now We are the World champions 2011, We won the world cup. .
Something that was concerning me before this world cup was Yuvraj Singh's form. But as the world cup progressed he started showing us the best cricket he had in him. I always thought,  to win this cup Yuvraj being in the form matters the most. And well he did the best in all areas - batting , bowling and fielding - the Man of the Tournament. There had been the Brilliant fielding performance by Raina and Yuvi in Knock out matches. And It raised the standard of the team in the tournament, which ultimately helped us to win this.
Well it was a great team effort , especially during the knock out matches.
The two teams I was scared before the tournament - South Africa and Srilanka. We lost against SA, but we won in final against Srilanka the Rival who had always doing great in any finals against India. Well Played Srilanka - Sorry It was against India you were playing, and the Cup was already destined to be with us..

In his 20 years of cricket life, Sachin Tendulkar had many achievements in his name but I was impressed by his performance only after 2009. With the age he has matured, He is the most taleted cricketer , no doubt in it. But in recent years we can see some good examples of a great person in him, With all records already in his name, Now he Finally has a world cup, The cup without which his cricketing career would have been incomplete. Well done Sachin.
Well to tell about Dhoni ,  A leader of strength , composure, humbleness, got a T20 World cup for us and now this one with a brilliant knock in the final.. And a Lucky guy as well. .:)
Under his captaincy Now we are the No 1 team in Test Cricket and ODI cricket.
We are The Champions everywhere , Proud to be so. Well , got tears in eyes after the cup. emotional moment. its time to  Party now. . Cheers. .

Just don’t take this as a quiz, just read straight. . It has got an Awesome message. .

1. Name the five wealthiest people in the world. .
2. Name the last five Heisman trophy winners. .
3. Name the last five winners of the Miss America contest. .
4. Name ten people who have won the Nobel or Pulitzer Prize. .
5. Name the last half dozen Academy Award winners for best actor actress. .
6. Name the last decade's worth of World Series winners. .
How did you do?

The point is, none of us remember the headliners of yesterday. .These are no second-rate achievers. .They are the best in their fields. .
But the applause dies. Awards tarnish. Achievements are forgotten.
Accolades and certificates are buried with their owners.

Here's another quiz. See how you do on this one:

1. List a few teachers who aided your journey through school.
2. Name three friends who have helped you through a difficult time.
3. Name five people who have taught you something worthwhile.
4. Think of a few people who have made you feel, appreciated and special.
5. Think of five people you enjoy spending time with.
6. Name half a dozen heroes whose stories have inspired you. Easier?

The people who make a difference in your life are not the ones with the most credentials, the most money, or the most awards. They are the ones that care. They are the one who you remember forever. Do something good for others every day. It might be not disturbing them for a day if it provides happiness to them. If you find difficulty in understanding someone, just try to put yourself in their shoes and you will find it much easier. Care for others, keep them happy. This happiness is even bigger than any other biggest pleasure in the world. .

May be I should Have Posted this earlier.

Maybe. . .we were supposed to meet the wrong people before meeting the right one so that, when we finally meet the right person, we will know how to be grateful for that gift.

Maybe . . . when the door of happiness closes, another opens; but, often times, we look so long at the closed door that we don’t even see the new one which has been opened for us.

Maybe . . . it is true that we don’t know what we have until we lose it, but it is also true that we don’t know what we have been missing until it arrives.

Maybe . . . the happiest of people don’t necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything that comes along their way.

Maybe . . . the brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past; after all, you can’t go on successfully in life until you let go of your past mistakes, failures and heartaches.

Maybe . . . you should dream what you want to dream; go where you want to go, be what you want to be, because you have only one life and one chance to do all the things you dream of, and want to do.

Maybe . . . there are moments in life when you miss someone — a parent, a spouse, a friend, a child — so much that you just want to pick them from your dreams and hug them for real, so that once they are around you appreciate them more.

Maybe . . . the best kind of friend is the kind you can sit on a porch and swing with, never say a word, and then walk away feeling like it was the best conversation you’ve ever had.

Maybe . . you should always try to put yourself in others’ shoes. If you feel that something could hurt you, it probably will hurt the other person, too.

Maybe . . you should do something nice for someone every single day, even if it is simply to leave them alone.

Maybe . . . giving someone all your love is never an assurance that they will love you back. Don’t expect love in return; just wait for it to grow in their heart; but, if it doesn’t, be content that it grew in yours.

Maybe . . . happiness waits for all those who cry, all those who hurt, all those who have searched, and all those who have tried, for only they can appreciate the importance of all the people who have touched their lives.

Maybe . . . you shouldn’t go for looks; they can deceive; don’t go for wealth; even that fades away. Go for someone who makes you smile, because it takes only a smile to make a dark day seem bright. Find the one that makes your heart smile.

Maybe . . you should hope for enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human, and enough hope to make you happy

Maybe . . . you should try to live your life to the fullest because when you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling but when you die, you can be the one who is smiling and everyone around you crying.

Make Your Moment, Live Your Life

Give it a thought. You are born, you spend most of your life working hard, trying to make something of yourself but when you die, you simply go back to where you started and you end up with exactly what you had when you started… nothing.  Yes, this world is ironic. Life itself is ironic.
So How can be life meaningful?

There is an interesting character in me. I have an interest to observe people in crowd. It might be because of my behaviour that whenever I am out and idle I just look at the people around me. The person who first catches my attention in such situation would be the one who is different than the other in the crowd, the one who seems to be in same situation as I had been in sometimes in my past or even some children.
Sometimes its really funny to watch, some people make us realise that how lucky we are, some are pathetic and some inspire me.

I try to go through the person silently, trying to know what might be in their mind. There are lots of people who had inspired me and they would be unaware of the fact that they just had got one more fan.
In my eagerness to know about people from different demographics, Grandma is different. She is my neighbor who lives just opposite to the place where I live.  She is 84, sick often and lives alone. By the time I have grown a good relationship with her. She has poor sight but still finds me the one who reminds her of her grandson. She does help us for in case we need any help. The thing to observe with her is that she is too weak to walk and often complains with me that she doesn’t want to live any more. I always tell her to have fun. And she finds it very funny. Lolz. She tries to make sure that we get the things we deserve in the society. It makes me sad that she always says she is no more living her life. She says she is just waiting for the day when she would be free from this world.  So I talk to her more often for the reason that she should not feel alone. Sometimes I even crack jokes so that it brings smile in the face of the person who is not living a life but just waiting for the time to go. She just smiles and say “Beta ab to kya , Umar ho gayi , aur kya kar sakte hain”. I never accept failure and so I continue insisting her to take care of her by anyways. I just try to take some time for this just because a little care would make her happy and smile, even though a little. God bless her. . And pray that her remaining life get colorful with more people bringing happiness in her life and making her feel that she is not alone.

When you  pray for others God listens to you and blesses them..
And sometime when you are safe and happy remember that Someone has prayed for you

I don’t say the above action will make me legacy. It not only about leaving examples. Its about how you spend your time, moment that makes our life.  I believe in making people surrounding me happy. Have you ever realised the happiness that you feel when you find out that your some actions have given some happiness to someone. Its an wonderful experience na. Try it.

Earlier I asked, “How can life be meaningful?”  The only answer that I can come up with is – if your life has meaning to / for somebody else’s life, then your life will continue to have meaning after you are gone, because the legacy of your actions for others will continue to live after you are no more. Think about all those great people who made a difference throughout history. The legacy of their actions continues to live on long after their deaths. Their lives had meaning simply because their lives have meaning to us…
Life is about happiness, your happines and the happiness you give to others.

Life truly has meaning when you stop living for yourself and you start living for others.

Empty Mind

Many moons have passed since last I updated the blog.. it is just got really busy with a “Memorable Home Tour, Exams and a job (my first one),. It has been a month I started writing a post and it is yet to be completed.
There is one more year added to my age between these two posts. But after this milestone I am feeling younger and stronger  than the previous times( the curious case of Suraj Sharma - I have turned 21 now).
It has been the case with me always that I do not believe in New Year, Resolution, birthday etc.   I don’t complain about those who wait for new year to make some resolution but it is that I just don’t believe in making a new resolution every year and breaking it. This year did bring some changes in me. The difference lies in forcing myself to be happy in case of some problems in those days to happening the same without any effort these days. I hope this continues .
And something funny is happening these days.  I have been getting a B.E.A.utiful  view of a place in my dream. It’s a place I have never visited -  I am traveling by bus, crossing a bridge where I see a fabulous sunset view of a red lake , amazed by the view I regret for not bringing my digi camera with me.  This has happened to me more than 3 times. I am not able to find the reason for it. But I will try that next time I visit that place I am there with my camera , will capture it and post the picture in my post. Lolz..
